Holli Farrell is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and a Registered Play Therapist, a parent of twenty-three years and mother of three (including twins). Holli is an experienced child behavioral and parenting specialist and Director of Playful Nature Kids Counseling, LLC, whose mission is to effectively help children learn and heal in fun and creative ways – minimizing the anxiety, guilt and resistance many parents anticipate when considering therapy services for their children. At Playful Nature Kids Counseling LLC, children engage in their healing process amongst a variety of the highest quality, evidence-based play, sand tray, expressive arts and nature therapies in a comfortable, non-judgmental, kid-friendly environment. Holli is often referred by well-respected area clinicians and professionals for her specialized play therapy services, is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) meeting the elite professional and ethical standards of credentialed play therapy training and clinical experience required by the Association for Play Therapy (APT). Holli is also a Certified Sand Tray Specialist (C-STS) and the first Certified AutPlay Therapy Provider in Florida – a play therapy and behavioral therapy approach to working with children affected by Autism, ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder and other neuro-developmental disorders. Holli holds a certificate in Animal-Assisted Therapy from the University of New Hampshire, completed professional trainings in both canine-assisted play therapy and canine-assisted reading support, and is an honored recipient of an expertly-trained Canine Companions for Independence Facility Dog, named Luann, free of charge, which she integrates into client sessions as needed. Holli has also accumulated several hundred training hours in various stress relief, yoga, mindfulness and relaxation techniques for both adults and children, and continues to remain fresh and current in the industry by reviewing evidence-based, field research and regularly attending professional therapeutic trainings and national conferences.
