Children can use songs, create original lyrics and play select musical instruments in session to help interpret and express repressed emotions such as anger, sadness, frustration, hurt and fear.

Discussing and incorporating themes and relatable characters from carefully selected, child-friendly movies and television programs in session, may assist children with feeling expression and problem solving as well.
