Family Therapy

family therapy

Family Therapy sessions are a supplement to a child’s regularly scheduled, individual therapy sessions and are implemented as needed, when determined by both the child’s therapist and parent, to be in the best interest of the child’s healing process. A parent consultation will proceed the family session in order to discuss expectations and prepare family members for a positive experience. Family therapy sessions will revolve around a group game or activity carefully selected by the therapist to promote effective communication and connection, feeling expression, model positive behaviors and observe family dynamics in a fun and friendly environment.
