Facility Dog Luann can be incorporated into treatment to help motivate a child to learn a new skill, calm a child who is anxious or dysregulated and encourage communication, social skills, connection and focus. Luann has been specifically trained for this work and her presence can often bring a valuable component to the session that could not be created or contrived by the therapist alone.
